Uluwatu is known for its amazing beaches, incredible waves, and “chill” vibes. However, we were able to discover a different side of this popular surf destination with White Tortoise Eco Villas. Situated in an elevated position, it has a 180-degree view over an authentic jungle in the middle of one of the last remaining untouched parts of the southwestern Bukit peninsula.
The five private villas, with their own pools and sundecks, are the perfect haven for those who want to chill and relax. To make sure you have a memorable stay, White Tortoise’s staff is available around the clock – they are very warm, helpful and gave us some good tips around the area.
Despite being an untouched part of the peninsula, these villas are only 5/10 minutes away from idyllic beaches (such as Padang Padang, or Bingin) and great restaurants/bars. For those who prefer not to leave the place at all, the authentic bamboo restaurant has some lunch and dinner options.
White Tortoise Eco Villas make a decent effort to be Eco-friendly by using local materials both for construction and for food and reusing rainwater. Also, expect to be greeted by their super friendly guard-dog, Maya – she’s the cutest!
Lastly, bear in mind that White Tortoise is an adult-only property, as it tries to provide a quiet and serene atmosphere. Enjoy the romantic vibes!
