Portugal is well known for its delicious food – and the Douro Valley region does not come as an exception! We arrived at Peso da Regua during the afternoon, and after a strong recommendation from Casal dos Capelinhos staff, we’ve made a reservation for dinner at Aneto&Table. We almost didn’t get one, as the place was packed. Which could only mean we were about to have an incredible meal right?
The interiors were beautiful, with a fantastic yet unpretentious atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a Saturday dinner with friends! While the initial purpose was to promote Aneto’s wines, the owners soon recognized the enormous potential of pairing them with tasty and typical food. Oh, weren’t they right! The food is nothing but exceptional. With great attention to detail, the staff will guide you through the menu and helps you make the best decisions. We loved everything we’ve tried, and would go back without thinking twice. Also, you’ll be surprised by its great value – certainly cheaper than similar restaurants in the region.
Our dinner at Aneto&Table was probably the best meal we had during our days in the Douro Valley. Make sure you don’t miss it!
