Deciding where to stay during our trip to Menorca was not an easy task. This paradisiac island is full of hip and beautiful places to choose from, whether you’re looking for a glamorous resort by the beach, or a delightful b&b. At this point, our obsession with boutique hotels should no longer be a secret to you. Give us an old building, full of character and charm, and we are sold! Casa Telmo was exactly what we had in mind: a super central place, with only five exquisitely decorated rooms and a terrace to die for. This “Adults only” boutique is surrounded by restaurants and cool places to hang out in Mahón town – which ended up being a pleasant surprise itself.
By the hand of the talented Quintana Partners interior design studio, you’ll need quite some time to absorb all the thoughtful details spread around the house: antique furniture, handmade ceramics, framed pictures, you name it. Their upscale service includes a good breakfast (we’ve eaten better ones, though), but it also comes with a price tag. And guess what? It’s not cheap. But if you’re like us and really value charming and unique places, you’ll feel like it is definitely worth your money.
Casa Telmo has once described itself as a small luxury refuge. And we couldn’t agree more.
