Secluded in the southwest of Alentejo, just a few kilometers away from Zambujeira do Mar, Craveiral Farmhouse is a rural wonderland for those who want to connect with Nature and recharge batteries. The collection of 38 luxury studios and farmlofts are scattered across a never-ending farmland and designed to make you feel at home. In their own words, there’s always something to do – even if it is the beauty of doing nothing.

The wooden walkways connect the different groups of houses you’ll find at Craveiral. We were lucky enough to have stayed on a Farmloft, which was part of the Cravo cluster. Book one of these if you want a romantic stay with special access to a private swimming pool for the exclusive use of this cluster’s guests.
One of the highlights of Craveiral is its approach to taking your best friend with you. While the pet-friendly concept is widespread in many places around the country, you can find it at its finest in Craveiral. Hagi (our beloved Jack Russel) could wander around freely the whole time, and there were no restricted areas for him.

The sustainability mindset can be found everywhere: in the restaurant menu, on the furniture materials, on the plastic-free bathroom amenities, or even on the electric cars free chargers.
The farm-to-table restaurant is led by the Top chef Alexandre Silva (winner of a Michelin Star for his place, Loco in Lisbon), offering everything you could wish for: local products, bio ingredients, and yummy food. The giant open-air fireplace, along with the wooden tables and the marvelous kitchen, makes it the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal. Combining it with a view to the stunning swimming pool only makes it more perfect. Can you imagine this scenario on a warm summer evening and with a glass of white wine on your hand?

If you’re looking for a place to disconnect from this frenetic world, look no further. Craveiral has it all: the free bikes, the beautiful architecture, the exquisite food, and the most lovable staff.
Take the children and the dog, surprise your better half or go solo. But go.
