With a decor inspired by the Japanese mafia, Yakuza First Floor is an excellent choice if you’re looking for outstanding sushi and don’t mind spending a fair amount of money on it. The place itself is simply gorgeous, located in the Principe Real neighborhood (one of the most popular in Lisbon). It has the coolest bar area, an elegant dining room, and a beautiful garden for the warmer nights. If you can choose, we would recommend the sushi bar area. It has just the right vibes! The fact that the restaurant sits inside a historical building is another plus to add to the whole experience.
We love the open kitchen concept, which reminded us of our time in Japan. And be prepared for a feast for the eyes when the food arrives! So beautifully presented! The friendly staff provide a great service, and you can rely on them to give you the best advice if you find it troubling to choose for yourself. Another point worth noting: the place is totally suitable for vegans.
If you fancy Japanese food and want a special place, Yakuza is the one. Every time we go there, we have high expectations. And Yakuza always live up to them.
Sneakpeek tip: Go for the lunch menu if you want to get a taste of it without breaking the bank.
