It’s no secret that Tulum gathers an array of what they call “insta-worthy” places to stay. But if you’re looking for a hidden and peaceful getaway, still close to all the trendy spots, Hotel Muare it’s a perfect choice!
It is located in the Mayan jungle of Tulum, in a developing area called La Veleta. You can easily walk to the main streets, where all the cool restaurants and hip bars are. However, if you want to head to the beach part, you might consider to rent a bike or grab a taxi. We had our rental car with us, and as Muare offered free parking, we couldn’t ask for more.
As soon as we walked through the entrance, we felt like we’d arrived into an oasis. The architecture and interior design of Muare are mind-blowing and make you forget you are in bustling Tulum.
The pool area is stunning, super relaxing, and with cute corners to chill and unwind from the world. If you’re a yoga lover, you’ll be happy to know that Muare offers some morning lessons for the guests. There’s also a spa and wellness center and a beautiful fireplace for colder nights (not sure if there are any in Tulum though).
But if you think the lounge area is pretty, just wait until you see the rooms. Pictures don’t make them justice! We had a private pool and a dreamy outdoor shower. The details are exquisite from top to bottom.
We didn’t get the chance to try the restaurant, but according to the reviews, we definitely should’ve. The staff is genuinely friendly and did everything to ensure our stay was flawless. Also, we felt very safe during our time in Muare, which is also an important aspect to consider when visiting Tulum.
Honestly, we can’t think of a better way to end our trip to Mexico. A special thanks to Romina for making us feel so welcome and spoiled.
