Red star burgers are a favorite of Wanaka locals. We went there right before they close (have we told you how early everything shuts down in New Zealand), so there was practically no waiting line even though we’ve heard it is a common thing as the place tends to get very busy. It’s pretty easy to understand why – it’s worth it! They use fresh and top quality ingredients, have plenty of options on their menu, and even if you’re a vegetarian you’ll be fully satisfied – I had the falafel burger and it was so, so good. The place has a low key environment, a very welcoming staff, and it’s up to you to either choose to dine in or to take away!
