When in Iceland, we had to try seafood. And Sægreifinn was the absolute perfect choice to do that! After many local recommendations, we knew we needed to head to this place and delight ourselves with a delicious meal by the sea. And what a real treat!
At this location, you’ll find 5 or 6 cute houses that work as restaurants, and although we didn’t go to the other ones, they all seem to be very popular among Icelanders.
Sægreifinn has a very simple and traditional setting, with some long wooden tables and the most friendly staff. A basket with warm crusty bread came to the table, together with two large bowls of rich lobster soup – definitely a must! The skewers are also a fantastic pick, with the freshest fish in town!
The best of it? This place is actually quite affordable if you take into account Iceland standards!
