The Best Place To Stay in Seville – Triana House

Staying in the Triana neighborhood is an experience itself. It is located on the other side of Gualdaquivir, and you can spot its colorful houses when strolling by the river. It’s the best place if you want to stay away from all the tourists and get to know a more genuine side of Seville. The locals are so proud of Triana that they don’t even call themselves “Sevillanos” but rather “Trianeros”!

We were already convinced about Triana, and as soon as we saw pictures of “Triana House” we knew we had found our place! It’s a small property, with no more than six rooms distributed over two floors. There is no big hotel entrance or a huge sign, so we actually felt like we could be entering our own home. It lies on a very quiet street, no more than 10 minutes away from the city center – and yet it has such a distinct character.

Forget minimalism design – Triana’s interiors are the opposite of it. The place is exquisitely decorated, with no detail left behind. Our room was small but with everything we needed, including a daily breakfast served in bed!

Do you want to know the best of it all? Triana House has expanded, and from the summer of 2022 is opening a new boutique hotel just next door. Even though we didn’t get the chance to stay there during our trip, we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of all the rooms, and let us tell you… they are absolutely gorgeous. Each of them represents a different Andalusian city, with every furniture piece and material used being though to the ground. One of them even had Cordobán leatherwork! We felt like we were inside a museum!

Later on, the friendly General Manager told us that the property was also the first one getting the Passivhaus certification in all of Andalusia – a performance-based energy standard in construction. Knowing that was definitely a plus as we always try to make sustainable choices.

Thank you to all the staff that made our days in Seville so special!
