AlmaLusa set the bar really high with their boutique hotel in central Lisbon. Once we heard about their new big project in Comporta, we couldn’t help ourselves and immediately booked our stay, only a few months after its opening.
Lately, Comporta seems to be the most talked-about destination in Portugal. But even though it already compiles a fair share of stunning accommodation options, AlmaLusa is the first hotel within the town of Comporta. Imagine impressive views of the rice paddy fields, delicious restaurants within walking distance, and beautiful beaches just 15 min away.
The boutique hotel is very well blended into the environment of the region, and it has a relaxed and informal atmosphere. It perfectly showcases Portuguese culture – you’ll find it in the fabrics, wall art, books, and in every single detail inside the rooms. Once you step into the lobby, you’ll be delighted by the gorgeous decor and smiley faces ready to welcome you.
AlmaLusa has 53 rooms, 31 of them being suites. Our suite had a small kitchen (completely equipped), a living room, and even a private balcony with direct access to the outdoor pool!
The breakfast is served in a cozy room, with a good offer of local products. Also, there’s a cute cafe serving healthy light meals that you can ask “to go” if it is one of those sunny days, and you don’t want to leave the beach. If you’re looking for a quieter and more secluded space, go to the Library Bar and order a glass (or why not a bottle?) of wine to seize the day.
Now, if there’s one thing that makes us want to return to AlmaLusa during the summer, it’s The RoofTop Bar. The views are amazing, and we are already dreaming of watching a sunset while sipping a fresh cocktail.
While it is true that we are kind of “Boutique hotel” lovers, we believe the new AlmaLusa is set to captivate everyone’s attention.
